Here is my paper I wrote about when I went to Texas.. Enjoy

Camp
I attended the Fort Worth Texas camp. The camp was held primarily at the Cowgirl Museum. It was an amazing experience. The museum itself was a perfect place for those kids to go around in and see all the different ways cowgirls have made a name for themselves, from trick riding to bronco riding. I learned a lot about the different cowgirls when I was able to walk through it before the kids arrived. The staff was very nice and helpful. I enjoyed working with them and the other counselors to make this experience nice for the kids.
The first day my sister and I was selected to go up and work in the office to search through newspapers and magazines to find anything that had to do with the museum or any famous cowgirls, even this was fun work. They were very nice in the office and willing to answer any questions that we had. I was able to find a few articles on Dale Evens and some others. The next few days I helped with the kids, getting them to and from events and not losing any of them.
The special treat for me was that this camp was the same time as the Extreme Mustang Makeover there in Fort Worth. We were able to take the kids over to see the consistence ride in the qualifying rounds, to see who would get in the top 25. The kids loved this and when some of the trainers where able to come and talk to them they had many questions. I loved watching the trainers, the last show I was at I competed in and was unable to watch everyone ride, and I wasn’t fighting nervousness, so I was able to relax and enjoy. I also learned many things from the trainers that came and spoke. It was fascinating to see how given the same amount of time they use different tactics to get the horse as far as they can. We were able to meet the head of the BLM. The kids loved it and it was fun hearing what he had to say and teach us about mustangs.
The kids were able to tour the museum and learn in more depth about the cowgirls. They each took turns on the bronco and had a blast. Lunch and snacks where served regularly to keep the kids full and energized. We were able to meet two other trainers and their horses. The kids loved petting the mustangs and asking the trainers about their horses.
The Extreme Mutt Makeover was also during this time and we took the kids to see all the dogs and watch some of them perform. Each kid received a shirt and bag with camera which they wore proudly and enjoyed. They learned a lot and so did I. I loved how they were able to ask questions so that they could understand better and strive to satisfy their curiosity. All the information was age appropriate for them, it didn’t go over their heads and was put in terms that they could understand and relate to.
The great surprise at the end was that each kid was given tickets to the finals of the Extreme Mustang Makeover. They were all thrilled about that and many eagerly attended. I went and loved it. The show was well done and trainers very creative in showing off their mustangs. We were also able to see the finalist of the Extreme Mutt Makeover. I loved it and had so much fun.
Over all, this experience is one I will always cherish. I learned so much and am so glad those kids had a chance to see and learn all that about mustangs. I would love to do it again and definitely tell people about it. It was amazing and very informative. The museum was a great place to have it, within walking distance of the arena where the Extreme Mustang Makeover and Extreme Mutt Makeover were being held. The kids got to see all the BLM and Mustang Heritage Foundation have done for the Mustang and what they continue to do for them. I will never forget what I have learned and all the people I was able to talk to and get to know.
